The Gnat and the Bull – Ezop Masalı

A gnat came down on one of the horns of a bull. It sat there for a long time. When it had rested sufficiently, it was about to fly. It turned to the bull and said, “I am going. Is that OK with you?”. The bull only raised his eyes and said, “It is all the same with me. I didn’t know when you came, and I won’t know when you go”.
We may be more important in our own eyes than in the eyes of our neighbors.
